Trail Descriptions Aspen Golf Course & Cross Country Center (970) 544-9246 The Aspen Cross-Country Center is located at the Aspen Golf Course, 1 mile west of Aspen off Highway 82. The Center offers ski lessons, tours, retail shop, rentals, a lounge, lockers, snacks, and videos. The Aspen Golf Course is an excellent place to start your ski. Together with the Snowmass X-C center, it is the first area to be groomed after heavy snow. Difficulty: Beginner. Length: 2.5 miles. James E. Moore Trail This trail is mainly used to reach the High School tracks from the Aspen Cross Country Center, but also has a 1-mile side loop of moderate terrain to ski. Difficulty: Beginner, but with a few hills, especially on the 1-mile loop. Length: 2 miles, including the loop. Marolt Property Tracks These tracks are used primarily as an access route between the Aspen Golf Course and the High School tracks. Dogs are allowed on the Marolt Property tracks. Difficulty: Beginner. Length: 1.5 miles.
